Indianapolis, Ind., October 4, 2022 – Early yesterday, FreshEdge, a best-in-class family of fresh food distribution companies, including four fresh-cut processing operations and a USDA fresh kitchen, was purchased by Wind Point Partners (Chicago, IL) from Rotunda Capital Partners.
FreshEdge’s footprint spans twenty-one states throughout the Midwest and southeastern United States. FreshEdge provides customized quality fresh food solutions to its foodservice, institutional, and retail customers via dependable, customer-centric strategies, industry expertise, product diversity, and cutting-edge technology with a sense of family and trust.
Industry veterans, Steve Grinstead and Greg Corsaro, will continue to lead FreshEdge as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer and President, respectively, as FreshEdge continues its aggressive expansion strategy.
Steve’s deep understanding and years-long relationships within the industry provide a sound base for his strong focus on growing FreshEdge. Greg offers decades of premier distribution leadership guiding daily operations of the FreshEdge operating companies putting the company on a strong trajectory for organic growth to complement the acquisition growth planned over the next many years.
